MetrologyMetro's Privacy Policy:
Last Updated: December 13, 2009 04:57:52
The Internet, Privacy, and MetrologyMetro ("MM").
The Internet contains a wealth of information. Unfortunately,
it may also contain personal details about you that you dont want everyone to
know. Examples may include your real name (lots of people on the Internet use
aliases, alter egos, or nicknames), street address, phone and/or fax number, or e-mail
address. Also, when you go online, sites you visit may be gathering information about
you---without your knowledge.
MM has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment
to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices
for this Web site: MetrologyMetro.

MetrologyMetros Policy.
MetrologyMetros policy is to respect and protect the privacy of our users.
MetrologyMetro will never willfully disclose individually identifiable information
about its visitors, advertisers, business partners, sponsors, and other third parties
("Users") to any other third party, without first receiving that Users'
permission. This policy statement tells you how we collect information from you and how we
use it. Using the Internet should be a fun experience, and we want to help you make it so.
MetrologyMetro shares information about our Users with advertisers, business partners,
sponsors, and other third parties. However, in most cases, we talk about our Users in
aggregate, not as individuals. For example, we will say MetrologyMetros audience
originates from x percent domestic and y percent international locations. This data is
used to customize MetrologyMetro content and advertising for our Users.
There are cases where MetrologyMetro may ask you for personal information such as your
name, address, or telephone/fax number. We do this when you register for link submissions,
contests/promotions, or services that require registration or subscription. MetrologyMetro
needs to collect this information for URL linking purposes, fulfilling prizes,
tracking/verifying compliance with MetrologyMetro policies, as well as federal, state, and
local laws, and/or for editorial and feedback solicitation purposes. When we intend to use
your personal information, we tell you up front. This way you can decide whether you want
to give MM the information or not. For example, we may want to post an organization's
postal address, e-mail address, fax, and telephone numbers on our site, or send you
materials via e-mail or regular mail at your request. In case you change your mind, or
some personal or organization information may change, we provide a way to correct, update,
or remove the data that you give us; see the choice/opt-out
and the correct/update selections below.
Use of Cookies.
A "cookie" is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive,
through your browser, when you visit them. Cookies have received a lot of publicity, most
of it bad, in the popular press. Some would have you believe that they can extract all
sorts of personal information about Users, and are a serious threat to the Users' privacy.
There is no question that cookies can be abused, but they are not magic. They cannot
extract any information that Users do not voluntarily supply; a cookie cannot read data
off of your hard disk, or read cookie files created by other sites. They are intended to
simply identify the client to the web server.
MetrologyMetro's primary use for cookies is to track Users trends and patterns. This helps
us better understand and improve areas of the MetrologyMetro service that our Users and
customers find valuable. While both of these activities depend on the use of a cookie,
visitors to MetrologyMetro always have the option of disabling cookies via their browser
preferences. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. You can reset your
browser to refuse all cookies, or indicate when a cookie is being sent.
Use of IP Addresses.
MM's Web site also logs domain names and/or IP addresses for system administration
purposes. These are logged to track Users' sessions. This gives MM an idea of which parts
of our site Users are visiting. We do not link domain names/IP addresses to anything
personally identifiable. This means that Users' sessions will be tracked, but the Users
will be anonymous.
Links to Other Sites.
This site contains links to other sites. MetrologyMetro is not
responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.
Users should be aware that when you are on MetrologyMetro, you could be directed to other
sites that are beyond our control. There are links to other sites from MetrologyMetro
pages that take you outside our service. For example, if you "click" on a banner
advertisement, or a MetrologyMetro search result, the "click" may take you off
of the MetrologyMetro site. This includes links from URL submitters, advertisers, business
partners, sponsors, and other third parties. These other sites may send their own cookies
to Users, collect data, or solicit personal information. Always be aware of where you end
up!
Public Forums.
Please keep in mind that whenever you disclose personal information online example,
via message boards, chat, newsgroupsthis information becomes public information, and
can be collected and used by people you dont know. While MetrologyMetro strives to
protect its Users' personal information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of
any information you disclose online, and you do so at your own risk.
MetrologyMetro's policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of
the Internet, and therefore beyond MetrologyMetro's control, and is not to be applied in
any manner contrary to applicable law or governmental regulation.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to make changes to this policy at any time.
Please check this page periodically for changes.
