Which Directory Category is appropriate? Consider the following pointers as you navigate throughout MetrologyMetro, searching for the correct category for your site:

Get Specific.
MetrologyMetro is made up of main subject headings, or top level categories: Academic/Instructional Institutions, Accreditation Bodies, Employment, Government (Government, Military), Laboratories (U.S., World), Literature, Metrology Events, Newsgroups, Organizations (Conference, Metrology, Standardizing, International & National Standards), Personal Home Pages, Professional Societies, Software (Freeware, Shareware, & Commercial), Additional Metrology Resource Sites (Other), and Calibration Products & Services (Commercial Sites).

Every site listed by MetrologyMetro is contained somewhere within these  major categories. Some of these categories are made up of sub-categories, all organizing information from the general to the specific. New sub-categories are created as needed, so please suggest them on the Submit Site form if you feel the directory would benefit by it.

No more than one (1) URL listing per subcategory per organization is permitted.
Also, no more than a total of four (4) listings per site/organization are permitted

Government/Military
If the government exercises authority over your organization, then choose this category first.  You can make a separate submission if you would like your site listed elsewhere.  For example, a government controlled laboratory would first need to be submitted under the Government main category.  A subsequent submission under the Laboratories main category would be acceptable as well.

Commercial or Non-Commercial?
I you would like your site to be listed under the Commercial category, then you must sell something, charge for site access, or promote sellable goods and services. However, it must be understood that MM has the final word when determining under which category a link will be listed.

Personal?
All personal home pages that contain a significant amount of information devoted to the subject of metrology or calibration are posted in the Personal Home Pages category. If a personal page has sufficient content about a specific metrology/calibration topic, then submit a link to the related category (or suggest a new category/subcategory).

MetrologyMetro reserves the right to accept or reject any site submission, for any reason. Also, MM has the final word when determining under which category a link will be listed.
